What is air duct cleaning? -According to EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) duct cleaning refers to the cleaning of various heating and cooling system components or force air systems, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, grilles and diffusers, heat exchangers heating and cooling coils, condensate drain pans, fan motor and fan housing, and the air handling unit housing. Why is it important to have your ducts cleaned? EPA says if not properly installed, maintained, and operated, components of forced air systems may become contaminated with particles of dust, pollen or other debris. When moisture is present, the potential for microbial growth, mold, increases and spores from such growth may be released into the home's living space or office. Some of these contaminants may cause allergic reactions or other symptoms in people if they are exposed to them.
When should I consider having my air ducts cleaned? There are many signals to watch for to determine whether your air ducts need cleaning: Any kind of presence of mold growth on any component of your air system, having to dust constantly, registers filled with dust and debris, ducts infested with vermin, or if you have never had your ducts cleaned in the last 3 years.

What is a dryer duct? The duct that your dryer hose is connected to is referred to as a dryer duct. The purpose of the duct is for the remaining lint that does not get trapped in your lint trap which is about 30% as well as the air to escape to help make your laundry dry. The duct will exit either on the side of your home or on the roof of your home. Why do I need my dryer duct cleaned? What happens to your duct is over time the lint that does not get caught in your lint trap will exit through your dryer duct and will remain in the duct until it is cleaned.
